V1W Z-Pro: Chassis Carbon Fiber w/4x Brace
V1W Z-Pro: Chassis Carbon Fiber w/4x Brace
SKU:STH-0184CF
We present to you, the V1W Z-Pro Class 2 and 3 Chassis. The Z-Pro Chassis Features new modular adjustable design and is shorter than the M2 Chassis allowing for a 90 degree approach and departure angle with most configurations. Weather you want and axle mounted servo (AMS), Chassis Mounted Servo (CMS) or Rear Steer Chassis Mounted Servo (RCMS); it is now easier than ever to achieve and adjust to best fit your axles and Wheel Base (WB). The chassis is design to be 70mm wide inside the frame from the front to the rear. Please use the skids specifically designed for this chassis as parts fitment with other skids is not granted.
Note: Most aftermarket and stock skids are 78mm wide. The move to a narrower skid is intention to help increase maneuverability and improve Shock angles.
Aluminum Chassis Weight: 1.5oz (42.7g)
Carbon Fiber Chassis Weight: .79oz (22.4g)
You will Receive: 1 pair of chassis rails in Carbon Fiber and 4 - 70mm Aluminum Braces
Chassis Mounted Servos (CMS): You will have two options, Single Lay Down or Double Standup. Both styles have an integrated Panhard Mount (PHM). If you plan to run a Chassis Mounted Servo Winch, you will need the Double Standup mount. The Laydown Servo Mount only provides room for one servo. The slots on the side of the chassis allow for the CMS and PH to slide forward or backwards to align the PH more precisely to your axle position. Either of the servo mounts can work in both the front or rear positions of the chassis. Our recommendation is, Double CMS up front and Laydown CMS in the rear (If using rear steer). Laydown CMS can prove to be difficult to configure depending on your drag link position and length of your servo horn. (Note: Excessive Shock travel can limit steering with a Laydown CMS)
Skid Selection: The Z-Pro offers and 8 degree sloped belly to better aid clearing challenging break overs. Our skids with the exception of the TRX4 are designed to maintain a horizontal output shaft to maintain proper driveline alignment. We offer 3 Skids for 6 different populate transmissions. Capra, TRX4, SCX-10 3Gear, and a Universal Skid which fits the (TGH 2 Low, Axial 3 Gear, Element OD, Delux CB) Transmissions. (Note: Other variations can be design upon request if we have the transmission on hand)
Motor Fitment with Transmissions: Capra (Up to Fusion or 550 Size Motor), Axial 3 Gear (540 Motors), Element OD (540 motors), Delux CB (Revolver Type Motors), TGH 2 Low (540 Motors), TRX4 (Fusion or 550 Sized Motor Dependent on Axle Used and Shock full Compression Length)
Shocks: It it highly recommended that you use or limit your shocks with an 80-90mm eye-to-eye length for proper articulation and performance. Using our internal shock limiter kit can make your RTR shocks a great option for your build.
WB Considerations: This chassis is designed to be built for and even 50/50 link setup. Your front lower links should be the same length as your rear lower links. You can easily build for an 11.5" through 13" WB while maintaining 1.5" of chassis overhang to remain class 2 legal. Stock Capra Links will give you a 13in WB. Stock TRX4 Lowers (you will need custom uppers) will retain a TRX4 WB. It is recommended to use bent rear links to maximize the benefit of the 8 degree sloped skid.
Bumpers: The Z-Pro offers a sleek Low Profile Front and rear bumper with D-Ring mounts. You must use an Aluminum brace directly behind the bumper when mounting it. The D-Ring mounts can be placed in the up or down position. Optional 3D Printed bash plates that are fixed to the front of the bumpers are available to help style the bumper for a custom look.
Sliders: You can use our sliders or fabricate your own to suit your needs. Our Sliders will work best on narrow bodies like the Power Wagon or Creep Cabs.
Hardware Pack: We have chosen to make the hardware options for those who would like to save a few dollars and those who may have a large stash of hardware at home. Please reference the instructions for the required hardware list.
Due to the nature of 3D printing, items may contain tiny visual blemishes. Items may require some trimming and painting for optimal visual appeal/fit; similar to what you would expect to do with model parts.
IMPORTANT: Do not use power drivers on 3D printed parts. Over tightening printed parts and cause premature cracking and crushing. Always ensure you hardware will not bottom out in the screw pocket. This can also cause at 3D printed part to break prematurely.
Printed Parts - These parts will be printed in Black (Unless otherwise requested) using advances slicing methods for maximum strength. All 3D printed parts come with a lifetime replacement guarantee. If you break a part, simply send us a photo and your order number. The photo is simply to evaluate for common issues and help identify potential improvements to existing designs.
